This was an ambitious expansion project of an occupied existing assisted living facility immediately adjacent to the Pacific Ocean.  The project included demolition of existing outbuildings and surface parking to make room for a two-level subterranean, 100,000 square foot parking structure, 45 new upscale independent living units and 35 new assisted living units with an associated amenity building and campus modernizations.  The assisted living component of this major expansion was coordinated with OSHPD regulated areas.
